The Katsina State Police Command has arrested four people for allegedly selling a four months old baby at the cost of N200,000.
The suspects includes a senior nurse with the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), the 18-year-old biological mother of the boy and alleged prostitute, Aisha Idris, one Hauwa Ibrahim, 32, of Kofar Kaura and Mrs Grace Ohuhu, of Uba-Kala town, Abia state.
The state commissioner of police Abdullahi Usman who confirmed the development said further investigation were still ongoing to unravel the situation.
According to Daily Trust, trouble started when the mother of the child, Aisha was delivered of the child by the Nurse, Okoh at the Federal Medical center Katsina.
Aisha was told that she had a still birth and the baby had since been buried.
However, when a fracas ensued between her and Hauwa, she was accused of selling a baby which prompted the police to step in.
Later it was realised that the Nurse, Okoh had sold off the baby to one Mrs Ohuhu, of Uba-Kala town, Abia state and the child was named Victor.
