Rasaq Bello AKA Hambuger Of NURTW Shot, Feared Dead [Photo]

A prominent member of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) in Lagos is feared dead.
Rasaq Bello, popularly called Hamburger, was shot on Monday in the Shogunle area of Lagos during the local council primaries of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
He was shot by members of a rival gang led by Samson Agbetoye, popularly called Golden. Golden belongs to the MC Olumo faction of the NURTW in the state.

NYSC Will Start Posting Youth Corpers To Farms -Director General Of NYSC, Brig-Gen. Suleiman Kazaure

Brig-Gen. Suleiman Kazaure, the Director General of the National Youth Service Corps ( NYSC ), said on Monday that the scheme would soon begin posting of corps members to farms, The Guardian reports.

Kazaure said this in an interview with newsmen during his official visit to the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp in Sagamu, Ogun.

He said that the move to deploy corps members in farms was in line with the agricultural development programme of the NYSC.

An elderly couple, Mr Reuben Akanbi, 70, and Mrs Victoria Akanbi, 68, have been strangled by unknown a‎ssailants in the Gbongan area of Osun state. According to the state police public relations officer, Folasade Odoro, the son of the deceased couple, Caleb Akanbi, called in the police after discovering the remains of his parents at about 11am Sunday morning.‎

 Coming after we reported that Gov. Ben Ayade of Cross River State, reportedly ordered tear gas on peaceful protesters who were protesting against his government in Calabar, it has been gathered that a student who was among the protesters have been left with an injury.
Photos shared online, revealed that the student was reportedly shot security operatives. They had scheduled to converge at Millennium Park, Calabar, and march on to other places in the state capital, before the policemen arrived and allegedly removed them forcefully.
